Such a concept can be misunderstood or misused without defining and recognizing its limits and boundaries. The present study seeks to study the Quran's attitude toward the phenomenon of moderation and its criterion with a semantic approach. The review the Quran verses shows that although there is no word for moderation in the Quran, words and phrases such as justice, truth of religion, intention, economy and endurance, in some Quranic applications, convey the concept of moderation; on the contrary, words like exaggeration, cruelty, oppression, and prodigality have a semantic contrast. Semantically examining these words, it is achieved that in the Quran, words equivalent to moderation, have a deeper connection with more fundamental concepts such as monotheism, right and justice. From the perspective of the Quran, the criterion and boundary of moderation, is commitment to monotheism, observing the right and justice, and not going out of the direct righteousness of God's servitude اعتدال در اسلام مفهومی ارزشی تلقی شده است. چنین مفهومی بدون تعریف و شناخت معیار و حد و مرز آن، می تواند دچار کج فهمی یا سوء استفاده واقع شود. پژوهش حاضر می کوشد با رویکردی معناشناسانه، به بررسی نگرش قرآن درباره‌ی پدیده اعتدال و معیار آن بپردازد. بررسی آیات قرآن نشان می دهد که هرچند واژه‌ی اعتدال در قرآن نیامده است، اما واژه هایی مانند عدل، حنف، قصد، اقتصاد و استقامت در برخی کاربردهای قرآنی، تداعی گر مفهوم اعتدال اند؛ به عکس، واژه هایی مانند غلو، ظلم، جور و اسراف، با آن تقابل معنایی دارند. با بررسی معناشناسانه‌ی این واژه ها به دست می آید که در قرآن واژه های معادل اعتدال، با مفاهیم پایه ای تری مانند توحید، حق و عدل پیوندی عمیق دارد. معیار و مرز اعتدال از منظر قرآن، التزام به توحید، رعایت حق و عدل، و خارج نشدن از صراط مستقیم بندگی خداست. https://qoranshenakht.nashriyat.ir/sites/qoranshenakht.nashriyat.ir/files/article-files/1_15.pdf
