Believing in the superiority of Islamic politics in various internal and external dimensions, Allameh considers Islamic foreign policy to have principles and characteristics that distinguish it from non-Islamic politics. Of course, the issue of Islamic foreign policy was not directly discussed in Allameh Tabataba'i's discussions, but from his system of thought about Islamic politics, the principles of foreign policy from his point of view can be discovered. Believing in the superiority of Islamic politics in various internal and external dimensions, Allameh considers Islamic foreign policy to have principles and characteristics that distinguish it from non-Islamic politics. Emphasizing adherence to the tradition of the Ahl al-Bayt in fully understanding the Sharia, Allamah assigns the position of scientific and religious authority to the infallible leaders in expressing the teachings and social and political rulings of Islam. From Allameh Tabatabai's point of view, such a policy is an example of divine policy and Islamic foreign policy, and in its foundations, goals and policies, it is fundamentally different from non-divine policy that relies solely on material power. Therefore, the Islamic system's adherence to divine policy in internal and external dimensions is emphasized by him. In this essay, the principles and rules of Islamic foreign policy in the thought system of Allameh Tabatabai are studied and analyzed and it tries to interpret, analyze and explain the nature of Islamic policy in foreign relations with documentary and analytical methods. آشنایی با رویکرد سیاسی علامه طباطبایی بدلیل جایگاه ایشان به‌عنوان یک مفسر بزرگ قرآن کریم، از اهمیت ویژه‌ای در نظام اسلامی برخوردار است. علامه با اعتقاد به برتری سیاست اسلامی در ابعاد مختلف داخلی و خارجی، سیاست خارجی اسلامی را دارای اصول و ویژگی‌هایی می‌داند که آن را از سیاست غیراسلامی متمایز می‌سازد. البته موضوع سیاست خارجی اسلامی بطور مستقیم در مباحث علامه طباطبایی مطرح نشده اما از نظام اندیشگی ایشان درباره سیاست اسلامی می‌توان اصول سیاست خارجی از دیدگاه ایشان را کشف نمود. علامه با تأکید بر تمسک به سنت اهل‌بیت(ع) در فهم کامل شریعت، برای پیشوایان معصوم(ع) سمت مرجعیت علمی و دینی در بیان معارف و احکام اجتماعی و سیاسی اسلام قائل می‌شود. چنین سیاستی از دیدگاه علامه طباطبایی، مصداق سیاست الهی و سیاست خارجی اسلامی است و در مبانی، اهداف و خط‌مشی‌ها با سیاست غیرالهی که صرفاً متکی بر قدرت مادی است، تفاوت اساسی دارد. ازاین‌رو پیروی نظام اسلامی از سیاست الهی در ابعاد داخلی و خارجی موردتأکید ایشان است. در این جستار اصول و قواعد سیاست خارجی اسلامی در نظام اندیشگی علامه طباطبایی موردمطالعه و بررسی قرارگرفته و می‌کوشد با روش اسنادی و تحلیلی به تفسیر، تحلیل و تبیین ماهیت سیاست اسلامی در روابط خارجی بپردازد.
