Abstract:
One of the questions in the field of leadership is what cognitive, insight, and dispositional characteristics do leaders have that distinguish them from others and provide the ability to lead society towards progress and excellence. This question has occupied the minds of researchers and experts, and various answers have been provided in the literature on leadership. In religious sources, and especially in the Holy Quran, there are complete and inspiring models of leadership that can answer the question. Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), as one of the most prominent Quranic leaders, has certain cognitive and dispositional characteristics, the study and analysis of which can pave the way for training transcendent leaders in Islamic society. In this study, verses of the Holy Quran related to the personality characteristics of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) were collected and their implications in the field of cognitive and dispositional characteristics of the leader were examined using a descriptive-analytical method.The findings of the research show that the characteristics of Prophet Moses (PBUH) can be categorized into two main axes: 1. Cognitive and insight characteristics, including: learning, wisdom, intellectual ability, and heartfelt belief in divine victory; 2. Attitudinal characteristics, including: love for God, optimism in God, peace of mind, self-expression, lack of attachment to the world, self-improvement, moral attractiveness, sincerity, dignity, and ability
