God Almighty directs the world and humanity based on fixed and unchangeable laws known as "divine laws". These laws are sometimes conditional upon human action and will, and sometimes absolute and unsuspendable. In this context, "resistance" as a social strategy and a purposeful process for preserving identity and confronting domination plays a key role in the realization and the manner in which many of these laws flow. This article, using an analytical-descriptive method and relying on the verses of the Quran and authoritative commentaries, seeks to explain the position of resistance in the system of divine laws. The findings indicate that the relationship of resistance with divine laws is determined based on the "position of will" within those laws: in absolute laws, resistance is a reaction after the occurrence of the law and a condition for benefiting from the conditional law that flows afterward; in conditional laws, resistance itself is a condition for the realization of the law (such as the appointment of Imamate and divine assistance); and in absolute competitive laws (such as the succession of the righteous), although resistance plays no role in their original occurrence, it does affect the quantity, quality, and speed of their realization. The conclusion is that resistance is not merely a moral choice, but a structural element in the mechanism of governance of divine laws over human societies, and understanding this position provides the theoretical framework necessary for analyzing socio-historical developments from a Quranic perspective.
