Abstract:
One of the most important issues in the philosophy of ethics is the criterion of moral value. There are three popular opinions on this field: “moral deontologism”, “ethical conscientiousness”, “virtue ethics”. There is disagreement among Muslim thinkers in explaining the moral theory consistent in the Qur'an. Some consider the moral theory consistent in the Quran to be "teleological", however, there is also a difference in the type of teleology. Some have explained the moral theory of the Qur'an as "egoism", some as "utilitarianism" and some as absolutely "teleological", without specifying its type, including Seyyed Ali Akbar Hosseini Ramandi considers the moral theory of the Qur'an teleological, and according to the emphasis of the Qur'an on the results of moral action in the form of words such as happiness, achievement, salvation, deliverance, pleasure, security, glad tidings, tranquility, pain, encouragement and injunction, and he considers the Qur'anic ethics is consistent in teleological theories and that consistent in Qur'anic anthropology and the method of moral education of the Qur'an. This view is widely criticized in this study shows that the verses cited are not in the position of expressing the standard of moral value and cannot be deduced moral deontologism from them, but are in the position of encouraging believers to adhere to and observe moral values
